Glimmer in the darkness..
I’m hiding behind closed
doors,
I’m hiding something
behind my eyes.
the pain and disbelief
i feel
all the unspoken sighs.
So this Glimmer in the darkness,
could it be what i was searching for?
will it be something i can hold onto,
or something i will ignore?
i need answers from him or her,
i need the questions to stop
coming.
i need to reach out and not be afraid,
i know all this and I’m still running.
cant catch my breath, tripping over my feet.
for Ive been running
too long,
what am i going to
meet?
dead ends or no ends?
heart breaks or heart aches?
true people or just fakes?
somebody tell me about the glimmer in the
darkness…..

Andrue! I have the answer to the questions in your poem. (Well, you asked!) Jesus said, “I AM the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” You can find this in the Bible, New Testament, 4th book, John 8: 12 (chapter 8, verse 12). You can find a Bible at http://www.e-sword.net I recommend the English Standard Version, or The Message. Also check out John 1: 1-14, and 1 John (this is the first letter to some young churches by a different John (the first one got his head chopped off), and it’s near the end of the Bible–chapter 1, verses 5 to 9. Jesus also said: I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life….” You have to decide if Jesus was mad (insane), bad (a liar), or if he really meant what he said. I, and many millions of others, all around the world, believe that Jesus is who he says he is, and HE IS THE ANSWER.
P.S. If you are interested, find a Bible with a concordance, and look up the references under “light” that seem relevant, especially in the Psalms. May God speak to your searching heart, and to the hearts of all the emo kids whose feelings resonated with yours!

wow this is so deep and touching and i once wrote a poem kind of like this one except mine was called ‘’shallow world”and i just think its amazing and im an emo and people are always think i am stupid of being who i am

Wow this is amazing!!!! i really really lyked it. nd the glimmer in the darkness is your way out of pain…so go into it…u mite be scared but the outcome wil be great
yoo okay u guys are awesome people and just because youre emo doesnt mean ur bad people need to know that but ur holding back, try to just act like everyone else because one of the main reasons that ur emo is because ur not being treated nicely so just be ur real self pretend nothing happened instead of cutting urself just write love on ur arms it helps. dont let the popular kids freak you out dont dress excessively emo just wear a t shirt and jeans find hte best thing in ur life and everytime something happens just remember that itl make you smile. listen to things that cheer you up look up “to write love on her arms, it really helps.” write about the things that make you happy itl cheer you up. try to talk to people you never really knew before so that they can know that your a great person. The truth is, everyone is scared, but you cant keep running away. and your depression cant go away unless you have enough faith to fix it, unless you give it a try coz someone else cant do it for u. and your not ever alone, remember that.
