How can I style my hair emo?

I want the classic Straight hair on the front and spikes on the back look. How can I achieve this effect?
How long should the hair be on the back? How do I explain my hairstylist that I want my hair cut only on the back?
Also, what about the sides? What do I do with them?
One last question; how can I get my hair to grow faster? I heard eating healty and trimming it helps. Is it true?
P.S. No one has heard of emos where I live (mexico) and I just liked that haircut, searched for the name, and came up with the Emo name!
I’ve been having trouble with my hair, because I look all nerdy or geeky with my hair I just comb it back. I look stupid =( So I wanted a change of style. Also, my school is too strict on hair, and after looking at the rules, I found this hairstyle doesnt break any.
My hair is Naturally Jet Black! With some also natural red highlites!

dat is niet te "scene" meer. Het is een beetje gedateerd uit. "scene" nu is langer, echt lange pony over een oog … en haarscherp gesneden allemaal voorbij.
